These recycled CD spinners are so easy to make and super fun! They are great way to creatively reuse old CDs and marbles.


You Need:

  • One old CD
  • One marble
  • One bottle cap
  • Assorted Sharpies
  • A glue gun

Step One:

Have students decorate the blank silver side of the CD with Sharpie markers.

Step Two:

Have students choose a marble and a bottle cap.

Step Three:

Place the marble in the hole in the center of the CD and hot glue around the edge of the marble.

Step Four:

Flip the CD over and place the bottle cap over the hole in the center of the CD and glue around the edge of the cap.  Count to about 100, the glue will be dry, and it will be ready to spin!

Step Five:

Watch them spin! 



We loved making these!   This activity perfectly connected our Sharing the Planet Unit with our How We Express Ourselves Unit. It was such a fun way to recycle and be creative too!
